Our Music Ministry
“Music is a way for God to lead us to the realm of higher things. As Saint Augustine says, “Singing is for the one who loves”. Music is therefore a sign of God’s love for us and of our love in him. It is no wonder that singing together in church expresses so well the sacramental presence of God to his people.” – Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine Worship
The Music Ministry of North American Martyrs Parish helps lead our parish community in prayer and worship through song and music. Our ministers serve at Mass throughout the month and at the Church’s most important celebrations, encouraging the entire congregation to participate in the sung prayer of the Church.
🎶 Choir
Our parish choir gathers to rehearse and minister at Mass twice each month:
- 4:00 PM Vigil Mass at Saint Christopher Church
- 9:00 AM Mass at Saint Mary Church
The choir also shares its gifts at special parish celebrations, including Christmas Eve and Holy Week, helping make these beautiful liturgies especially prayerful and joyful.

🎤 Cantor Ministry
Our cantors serve the parish each week by helping the congregation enter more fully into the sung prayer of the Mass.
Cantors:
- Lead the congregation in singing the hymns and responses
- Invite and encourage congregational participation
- Proclaim the Responsorial Psalm
- Help create a prayerful atmosphere through music
🎸 Our Musicians
In addition to our choir and cantors, talented parish musicians serve at various Masses throughout the month.
Toni Mintel — Guitar & Folk Ensemble
Toni leads the music each month at the 7:30 AM Mass, accompanied by the Folk Ensemble.
Wendy Quinn — Music Ministry
Wendy leads the music at the 4:00 PM Vigil Mass, helping the community pray and sing together each week.
